Why We're Feeln It

Based on a true story, Cuba Gooding Jr. won an Image Award for his portrayal of one man dedicated to rehabilitating troubled young women and changing their lives through a firefighting program. Q'orianka Kilcher, best known for her role of Pocahontas in the "New World", stars as one of the incarcerated youths in need of guidance and direction in life. A story of courage and survival, Cuba Gooding Jr. sums it up best by saying, "These women fight to save lives. They end up saving their own."

Dwayne Johnson (DJ), is a counselor at a correctional facility for troubled young women. Salvation for many of the women comes when they join an elite band of volunteers who battle forest fires, build hiking trails in remote areas, and assist during natural disasters. The volunteers have to survive several weeks of rigorous training, stay in peak physical condition, and learn to work as a team, often in life-threatening situations. DJ developed the volunteer force because he wanted to change the way the girls see themselves. Team leader Terry and her friend Keisha hope to convince Caroline, a new inmate with considerable obstacles to overcome, to join the group.
